I wish I had a better way of describing the Samsung D900 other than that it sucks.

It really is a crap phone.

It's frustrating how most of my messages don't get sent out to selective numbers. Most of my friends using the same phone subscribing to a different service provider face the same problem.

One of them even complained about how the phone dials the wrong number even though it displays the correct caller name.

The only thing I like about the phone is its aesthetics - which is really no big deal with the Prada LG phone, LG Shine KU70 and Sony Ericsson W880i - and the 3 megapixel camera - let down by the lack of image editing options and poor multimedia features.

One week into using the product, I'm thinking of selling it and switching back to my trusty, albeit worn Nokia N70 (now a spare phone) it, but the transferring of contacts is one. daunting. task.

Phones and gribes aside...

My saturday evening in a nutshell: Caught Ocean's 13 with Irwin at Lido -I haven't watched movies there in a long while (and by long I mean years) but the popcorn still rocks - sweet, not salted with 2 pumps of butter, please! :) Also dropped by Zouk to collect something way overdue :) and had drinks with Derek & gang before Harley and I stuffed ourselves silly at a supper joint.

My stint at B-M ends this Friday. Everyone go YAY! So little time so much to do.

Anyways. Here's a cute ad.

And here's a vid my kuku friends made.

It's heartwrenching to see a loved one take his last breath right before your very eyes and I never thought it would be this painful to see your loved ones cry.

Goodbye, Ah Kong. You lived a life less ordinary.

Maybe we like the pain. Maybe we're wired that way. Because without it, I don't know; maybe we just wouldn't feel real. What's that saying? Why do I keep hitting myself with a hammer? Because it feels so good when I stop.

I'lI need anarex to get some sleep.

My skin's gone yellow+gray and my face feels puffy. I spent the past few days in bed exhausted, dehydrated, fighting the worst migraine and feeling the most nauseated. Ick.

The sister's left for Japan and I couldn't see her & Peter off at the airport on Thursday night as I was not feeling well.

So long, farewell, see you in Tokyo end year, and thanks for leaving so much junk of yours for us to clear.

Anyways. Here are some way overdue pictures from last week.

Many catfights and 5 years on, my close girlfriends from JC and I meet up for drinks.

Smellysa, Jo-kult & Rasputina.

Melissa has returned from the UK a lawyer, and the lovely Lesley is now a banker.

Me?! An intern with a measely pay. Pfff.

*kiss* Many more chillout sessions to come.

This evening, we celebrated Stacey's 11th birthday at the clubhouse.

And below are two most adorable boys i *heart*.

Seeing photos from Hong Kong makes me want to bury myself in my comforter and cry.

Till now, I don't know if going away for such a long time was a good or a bad thing.

Occassionally, I wonder what it would be like today if I hadn't gone for exchange... if I had stuck around and not gone on a I'm-getting-out-of-this-painful-little-place whim...would you still be the old you?

.. .

I guess apart from the cross-borders travelling, ultimate freedom and love calls from home, the other thing I remember fondly about the whole experience was - no, not the food - meeting a certain Canadian and an American/Antartican... who've both dropped by our little island to visit, albeit on separate occasions :)

Ben visits.

Along with my sister's American-born-Jap bf*cough*friend.

My very own life-sized barbie threw a chi-chi couture 22nd birthday bash at Hacienda over at Dempsey's.

The dresscode: " Costumes reflecting your childhood dreams and ambitions, complete with props if possible."

Let's see.... among many others, I wanted to be a lawyer, vet, doctor, commercial pilot, air-stewardess, news anchor, fire(wo)man, national swimmer, history lecturer...

Since Don didn't want to lend me his very expensive med garb, I went as a ....

The girls looked like a million bucks.

Loved the dresses YY and Destiny wore :)

Dressed in a tube, skinny jeans and red toy'r'us plastic hat, I felt super under-dressed (and short next to the models. fucks). Good thing I didn't put on the SQ uniform I bought for racial harmony day years ago. The 3 also-very-tall flirts who went as Ken(s) took 1001 pictures with me using YY's camera - will pose them up when I get hold of them.

So Friday was an awfully busy day at work. With this big-scale regional launch coming up and Sylvia on leave, I was basically running errands the whole day.

5 taxi rides and lots of petty cash forms to fill later, I found myself at Vil'age to celebrate Ben's 23rd. Kow, Darrell (my new 10cm-away neighour at work!), Ben, Harley and I had dinner at Vil'age (the last time we ate there together was 7 years ago when it was still Marche!!) - pork knuckle, roast chicken, calamari, cheese sausages and rosti, wedges, soft shell crab and lots of Snapple facts :) YQ joined us later and we hopped over to Cold Storage and bought a bottle of CHIVAS and some mixers for our very own pre-Zouk party.

Our very own outdoor party, meeenus the music, cigarette smoke and DJ.

My favourite boys, a very gorgeous girl and I.

Alcohol could never give the same high as these people can.

The Honourable Victoria, Sextus Empiricus, Kant (sans Immanuel) and Lady Anne-Finch. (WHAT!! YOU MEAN YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF THEM ?! TSK TSK.)

Wang Fu-zi, Viceroy and Harold were late. LATE!!! *ROAR* but Wang made it up by buying drinks. Woot. In my drunken state, I still remember Wang and Harold in the same t-shirt. How erm... happy. But we all know about Date-rape Wang's amorous way, no??

I end up with my favourite people for most of the night in the club - and for other reasons I'd rather not blog about, I ended up shuffling between 2 end of Phuture (with Jacjac + SMU friends and Irwin and friends at the center). Sorry Sextus and Kant for squeezing their arms so tight on my balancing act (but they are how *ahem* man so they probably didn't feel a thing!)

Anyways. Ick. I really don't understand why some people have more to prove than others. If you know it and you're happy clap your hands doesn't include the line: shout it out to the rest of the world.

"AXN Asia has launched a TBWASingapore-created ambient campaign to launch the latest seasons of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (Season 7) and CSI: NY (Season 3) - showcasing ‘real' crime scenes to target audiences.

The campaign targeted patrons across selected nightspots around Clarke Quay, each with its own crime scene and story. At Clinic and Ministry of Sound (MOS) , entrances were fitted with motion sensors that once activated, illuminate placed UV tubes to reveal a murder scene complete with finger and footprints, bullet holes, blood spatters, pools of blood, and a message about the new season of CSI: on AXN.

The third nightspot to be fitted for a crime scene was the men's washroom at ChinaOne, where UV lights activate once the hand dryer is in use - when the hand dryer stops; the flickering UV lit murder scene reverts back to normal.

Each location has a story for target audiences to decipher by following the clues in the blood spatter and gunshot pattern.

Installations took place 26 April 2007, and will be up 13 May at MOS and Clinic."

Jac, Mel and I paid Char a visit yesterday.

Poor girl's got a hairline fracture on her right shoulder following a bad fall at work. Determined to stop her from losing more weight, we brought her... Ben & Jerry's icecream, Room for Dessert's cupcakes (in picture), vanilla Artic Roll (which got smushy after a 3 min drive from the Caltex outside her place) and tapioca chips. We shared the food in the end. Plus, we ate Bak Kut Teh from Balestier. Oh, I can feel my arteries clogging up just typing this. So much so for an afternoon of tennis and swimming.

GET WELL SOON BABE!!

The morning post surgery, he decided to deliver me breakfast.

Not knowing what I wanted or could eat, the clueless boy bought the following:

So I rewarded him with this:

My chocolate fudge brownies mit cafe boheme liquor, a dash of milk und Ben&Jerry's icecream.

Craving for frog leg porridge, we hopped down to Chinatown over the weekend, but ended up trying the famous steamed fishhead at the makeshift hawker/market instead. After taking our orders, we were told that we would have to wait 30 minutes.

Being the hungry folks we were, we ordered Soon Ji's Orh Lua ($4). Good stuff. Not too oily, with just the right amount of starch and a generous use of fresh succulent oysters and spring onions.

The fish from Cheng Ji (S$13) arrived only FIFTY minutes later, after I kicked up a fuss about how other diners who came later were getting their orders first. Good stuff though.

So the sister will be relocating to Tokyo, Japan for work (and love). Whoppidedah. Time to take over her room and plans for a winter vacation.
